is an exotic, beautiful, distant land. Memories of our land evoke smells of roasting spices, the beat of complicated rhythms that move one’s hips, traditional melodies that inspire raised voices, the laughter of children playing ancient games, travelers welcomed with unparalleled hospitality.

Our miles of rocky beaches border Romania, Egypt, India, Algeria, Spain, Turkey, Afghanistan, Morocco, and San Francisco. We celebrate the variety of influences from these different lands, as well as from the spirit of the nomads that have traveled our hills and valleys for centuries. As our people, called Amalgamia (pronounced: Amalga*MEE*ya), like to say:
